Costa Rica Gaming License
There’s no real regulation in place in Costa Rica, to provide the legal framework for the provision of the Gaming Services. The government is still working towards a regulated environment.
Permitted Activities
It’s illegal for residents to gamble online and to gamble at all on games that have any random outcome.
However, according to Costa Rican law, the physical location of an online gambling operator’s server isn’t where gambling actually takes place. Therefore, companies can offer online gambling services from Costa Rica, provided they don’t offer them to residents of the region.
Inorder to operate, a company needs a data processing license or an internet gaming license – which is not strictly required.
